High Sierra Access backpack - pa286a docking station (HP)
the docking station is really nice, i love it! :-) - opened display on HP 6930p & JABIL's HP service quality
What's the first thing you do when you receive your new (!) HP 6930p back from HP Service Centre (JABIL, in Poland) back? Right, you instantly remove the display brezel (frame) and check out WHY things are different now. They were supposed to repair it, and instead they just made it worse. I even had to reseat (!) both microphones. Can you imagine? JABIL Poland sucks big times. They also removed the business card holder from the bottom cover for no particular reason. HP Service Centre is quite good & responsive though. Only their outsourced technicians suck. - new monitor + keyboard
note the different types of grey colour behind the numbers! screensaver is from www.9031.com/downloads/screensavers.html - new monitor + keyboard

- intel vs. ati gfx on the HP 6930p
An advantage of the ATI - dedicated - gfx chip is that the heat pipe is much bigger, resulting in a better cooling of the CPU (as well as the other components). Better cooling = less fan activity = less noise. The disadvantage of course is that it sucks an extra ~ 12W while running so battery runtime is better on the integrated (Intel) version. - inside the PA286A docking station
